Dallas Mavericks Injury Report

The Dallas Mavericks have a number of notable injuries on their roster, including Maxi Kleber, Harrison Barnes, and Kristaps Porzingis. But which players are most at risk? Here’s a look at each player’s status for the postseason. This Dallas Mavericks injury report will give you an idea of how they’re expected to perform. And as always, we’ll also talk about who to watch for and avoid.

Boban Marjanovic

The Dallas Mavericks are on the brink of a back-to-back set and are without one of their top scorers, Boban Marjanovic. Marjanovic sat out the team’s previous game against the San Antonio Spurs with back tightness. However, he has since been upgraded to probable. His absence is not due to COVID, but his status will depend on how the rest of the team’s rotation plays.

Despite his recent struggles, Boban Marjanovic is still one of the most reliable players on the Dallas Mavericks. He has been a reliable force for the Mavericks this season and has been one of their most versatile players. Marjanovic has averaged 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 21 games this season. But he still has to prove himself. His team needs him and will be willing to pay him top dollar.

Kristaps Porzingis

The New York Knicks forward was limited to only 11 minutes during his return to action against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Porzingis has missed 19 games this season due to injuries. However, his knee has not been an issue this season. As a result, the coach of the Pacers, Rick Carlisle, who coached the Mavs, commented on the star’s mobility. While it’s still too early to tell exactly when Porzingis will return, the injury report indicates he’ll need several more days to fully recover.

Injuries are never fun to deal with, but Porzingis’ current ankle sprain is not good news. This is the second injury Porzingis has suffered since injuring his Achilles last January. As such, a second injury to the ankle could be enough to shut the franchise down. But, if the Knicks keep losing, Porzingis is unlikely to play. In the meantime, the Knicks won’t get a chance to rest him.

Luka Doncic

The Dallas Mavericks will be without one of their most valuable players on Thursday when they face the Utah Jazz. The Mavericks have proven they are capable of winning at an elite level with the current lineup, but Luka Doncic’s injury adds an extra layer of vulnerability. While he is expected to play on Thursday, his status remains uncertain. Here is the latest injury report on the star guard.

It’s too early to tell how serious the injury is. The Mavericks have not revealed the severity of Doncic’s calf injury. He strained his left calf on Sunday against the Spurs. However, the injury is not minor and there’s no timetable for his return. The injury is a setback for Doncic, who has become the mavericks’ offensive catalyst. The rookie averaged 28.4 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists per game this season.

Harrison Barnes

Another Mavericks player with a strained hamstring has been added to the injury report. Harrison Barnes is expected to be out for at least seven to 10 days with a strained right hamstring. He will be evaluated after significant practice time. Dallas is also without forward JJ Barea, who is listed as day-to-day with a hamstring strain. The Mavericks have been without a star small forward for much of the preseason.

Last season, Barnes was an injury hazard, but he still profiled as the team’s top scoring option. The Mavericks also signed promising lottery pick Dennis Smith to their backcourt, so Barnes’ absence shouldn’t be a concern. Regardless, Barnes will likely be a key contributor to the Mavericks’ offense this season. If Barnes misses any time, the Mavericks can count on Barnes to be a force to be reckoned with.

Dorian Finney-Smith

Dorian Finney-Smith, the second-longest Maverick in franchise history, has had a great season for the Mavericks. He averaged 12.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, and plays stellar defense for the Mavericks. The Mavericks were in the Western Conference cellar early this season, but have been among the best in the league since the turn of the year.

In his first playoff game, Finney-Smith made eight threes and scored a season-high 24 points. That was his first 20-plus scoring outing in postseason history, but he did lead the Mavericks to an important win. Finney-Smith is now expected to play Game 5 against the San Francisco Warriors, although he could be a game-time decision.

Sidney Crosby

In a game against the New York Rangers Friday night, Sidney Crosby was ruled out due to a head injury. He has been sidelined by concussions for years. In his career, he missed 108 games with a concussion, and missed six more this past season. As for his status this postseason, Crosby is a question mark, but the team is staying loyal to their star player.

The NHL has been in a major transition with Crosby out with a neck injury. He has not played since February. The team is evaluating his condition closely, as he may be in danger of reinjuring his neck again. But what exactly has happened to him? A report from Pittsburgh indicates that he suffered a soft tissue injury in his neck, which could lead to concussion-like symptoms or neurological problems.
