Loveland Movie Theater Loveland CO Movie Theater, When it comes to enjoying a movie with your family, there’s nothing quite like the IMAX experience. MetroLux 14 Theaters in Centerra will soon feature this state-of-the-art space. Which will include a 70-foot wall-to-wall screen and fully reclining seats.
The construction project got off to a slow start because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it’s now back on track and scheduled to wrap up in January.
Location
Loveland is a city in Hamilton. Clermont and Warren counties that’s considered part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. It’s located off Interstate 275, and it borders Symmes, Miami, and Hamilton townships. It straddles the Little Miami River and was once a railroad town.
Besides movie theaters, Loveland is also home to several restaurants and entertainment venues. One of those is The Foundry. A mixed-use development that features parking, apartments, salons, a hotel, dine-in movie theater.
The other big attraction in Loveland is the first IMAX theater in Northern Colorado. The MetroLux 14 in Centerra will feature a 70-foot wall-to-wall screen. With a 4K laser projection system and a 12-channel sound system. The project has taken a while to come to fruition. But in 2020, the Loveland City Council offered $250,000 in incentives to Metropolitan Theaters to help it get off the ground. With all that added up, the city is hoping that the new movie theater will be a major draw to both residents and visitors alike.

The Loveland movie theater is a great place to catch a show or two. Not only does it offer the latest in movies but it also hosts live performances and events. There is a variety of events that take place throughout the year such as silent film screenings and children’s shows. The best part about it is that the theater is open all day long and you can grab a bite to eat on your way in or out. The theater is also located next to a groovy coffee shop and offers free parking on the weekends.
The Rialto theater was first opened in 1920, making it one of the oldest movie houses in North Colorado. The theater was designed by noted local architect Robert K. Fuller and is considered by many to be the finest theatre of its kind in the region. It is a true art deco masterpiece and features a balcony, orchestra pit, and dressing rooms.
Food & Drinks
Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a full-on meal, Loveland movie theaters have it all. They offer everything from buttered popcorn to gourmet burgers, and you can even grab a drink at the concession stand.
With seven auditoriums and a standalone eatery. The newly opened MetroLux Dine-in Theatres in downtown Loveland is the first dine-in cinema in Northern Colorado. Scripted Bar & Kitchen, a separate dining area with an open bar, is a perfect place to have lunch or dinner before or after a show.
The restaurant features specialty cocktails such as BeerCocks and SloshTails. In addition to a menu of classic meals and sandwiches. There is also live music and line dancing.
The new location will also house the city’s first IMAX theatre. Metropolitan Theatres intends to convert two auditoriums into an IMAX viewing room. And the company is appreciative of the collaboration of the city. The Promenade Shops at Centerra in making this happen.
