    X-Ray Tech Salary

If you are interested in a career as an X-Ray Technician, you are not alone. Almost half of all job applicants fall into this category. While this is a common situation, it can be even more frustrating when the job offer you get does not fit your desired salary range. That’s why X-Ray Tech salary is one of the most important aspects of this field. In this article, we’ll discuss what you should expect from this career path, and help you choose the perfect employer for you and your career goals.

MRI tech salary is higher than x-ray tech salary

MRI tech salaries are more than double those of their x-ray-technical counterparts. MRI techs earn $75,568 to $91,332 per year, and are more likely to be employed at hospitals than other medical technicians. In many cities, MRI tech salaries are higher than those of x-ray techs. Salary varies considerably by city and skill level, and can range as much as $20,000 from state to state.

MRI techs are also responsible for managing and manipulating magnetic fields and radio waves, and guiding patients during the test. They must explain to patients what’s happening during the procedure, and the next step for treatment. Good communication skills are essential. MRI tech salaries are higher than x-ray tech salaries because MRI technologists must be able to communicate with patients effectively. For this reason, MRI techs need excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

X-ray tech salary varies based on modalities

X-ray techs earn a wide variety of salaries, depending on their specialty. They can work in the emergency room, intensive care, outpatient surgery center, or even the operating room. They may also specialize in fluoroscopy studies or other types of interesting exams. X-ray techs can also cross-train into other modalities by attending school. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in radiology will boost their value during an interview.

As a rule, the education level required to become an X-ray tech is similar to that of a radiographer. To earn an Associate’s degree, aspiring radiographers must complete a two-year program at an accredited institution. They must also complete a postsecondary certificate or degree program to earn certification. As for salaries, they vary depending on the modalities they specialize in.

X-ray tech salary is higher than the US average

X-ray techs can earn anywhere from $50,000 to $61,000 a year. However, the actual amount is dependent on many factors, including education, certification, and experience. X-ray techs may also earn more in some states than others. For example, in California, the average salary for an x-ray tech is $7,917 per year. This is well above the national average, and it is one of the most promising fields for a career in this field.

The BLS predicts a 9% increase in job openings for X-ray technicians by 2024. However, this does not mean that they are easy to find. Even if the position is in demand, not all employers will consider you for an opening if you are not certified. Furthermore, X-ray tech salaries are highly dependent on where you work and how long you’ve been in the field.
