Xu Guo is the Changjiang Chair Professor in Engineering Mechanics at Dalian University of Technology, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory for Structural Analysis of Industrial Equipment, and a Changjiang Chair Professor. He received his Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology in 1998, and joined the university’s faculty in 2000. Xu is now serving as an Associate Editor of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization and as a review editor of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters. He has published over 120 journal articles.

Changjiang Chair Professor
Dr. Xu Guo is the Changjiang Chair Professor at Xu Guo Dalian University of Technology and Dean of the Department of Engineering Mechanics. He also serves as Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis of Industrial Equipment. He obtained his Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology in 1998. Since joining the university faculty in 2000, he has been serving as a review editor of the journal Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization, as well as Associate Editor of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters. He has published more than 120 papers in prestigious journals.
Dr. Zhang has received numerous awards and honors, including the prestigious Changjiang Chair Professor at Xu Guo Dalian University of Technology. He has received several awards, including a Ph.D. from MIT, two State Natural Science Awards, and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Scientific and Technological Progress Award. In addition, he has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, and he has served as Program and General Chair of the ASME 3rd Micro/Nanoscale Heat and Mass Transfer International Conference. He is a Fellow of the AIAA, AAAS, and ASME.
Dr. Jiang Lei was born in 1966 and received a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Physics at Jilin University in 1987. In addition to being a PhD supervisor, she is also the dean of Beihang University’s School of Chemistry. She is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries. She was elected to these prestigious institutions in 2012 and has also been named a foreign academician of the American Academy of Engineering.
